Wiscasset boys’ soccer team defeated Livermore Falls 3-0 in their MVC opener in Wiscasset on Saturday. The Redskins dominated the game, unleashing 41 shots, while giving up just 10.

Medomak Valley girls’ soccer team opened their KVAC season at home on Sept 9 with a 1-0 overtime win over Camden Hills.

Lincoln Academy girls’ soccer rebuilds after graduating five seniors and losing three other varsity players from last year’s squad that went 6-6-2 and qualified for the West B tournament at eighth seed. The Lady Eagles fell to York in the first round of the playoffs.

Leavitt was no match for the Eagles Friday night under the lights in Newcastle. Lincoln Academy crushed Leavitt 7-0 in a lopsided contest that saw the Eagles out shoot their opponents 43-9.

Wiscasset hosted a five team cross-country meet on Sept. 23. Lisbon and Boothbay tied with 42 points, with Lisbon winning when their sixth runner came in ahead of Boothbay’s sixth runner.

Wiscasset girls’ soccer dropped two games this week to Winthrop and Hall-Dale. The Lady Redskins out shot Winthrop 18-13 in a 2-0 loss.

Medomak Valley boys’ and girls’ cross country teams were victorious in Newcastle on Sept. 25 at Lincoln Academy’s Homecoming meet.

Medomak Valley’s golf team handed Lincoln Academy an 8-1 loss on Sept. 10 at Wawenock. “We had an off night,” coach Todd Brackett said.

During Lincoln Academy’s Homecoming, the field hockey team had a tough road.

Boothbay took three out of four matches from Wiscasset on Sept. 24, but were unable to pull out a victory, as Wiscasset won in team totals.

The Wawenock Ladies Thursday Morning Golf League is not the place to look for a super serious, competitive golf match. They are a fun loving group of young at heart ladies, that like nothing better than smacking a ball around with some of their best friends.
