Jason Libby, historian, author and grandson of Leah Libby, will present an illustrated talk on Maine and WWI at the Oct. 17 meeting of the Jefferson Historical Society. He will emphasize Jefferson’s connections with the war. At least 48 people with Jefferson connections served during that time, several in the European battleground some and died there. Libby recently coauthored a book with Earle Shettleworth and will relate some of the stories from that book. The meeting is free and open to the public. The building is handicapped-accessible.
