The Parade of Lights gets bigger and better every year, and we want everyone to come join in the fun! The third annual parade kicks off at 4:30 p.m. as floats from local businesses, organizations, families, public safety agencies, and more will make their way through Damariscotta and Newcastle decked out in lights.
In the spirit of friendly competition, visitors will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite floats. In 2018, the Alna Snowmobile Club swept both the Spirit Award and the People’s Choice Award, while the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office won best town/municipal parade entry. The Damariscotta Fire Dept/Massasoit Engine Company took best fire truck, while Louis Doe Home Center’s entry was voted best business float. The Waltz family handily won best individual/family entry with its Grinch-themed float.
So gather your lights and blast that holiday music – we want to see you spark your spirit!
