Maple syrup has a long history and cultural significance in Maine. It is a very diverse product with many more uses than just a pancake topper (although that is a particularly delicious use). In this program we will discuss the history, cultural significance, and current production practices of maple syrup producers. We will taste and discuss the various grades of syrup to highlight flavor differences and specific uses for the various grades. We will also taste maple products including candies, cream, and sugar. Don’t miss this sweet event!

From his unique background as an Italian musician in love with both American roots music as well as the music of his native country, Beppe has travelled the world and even crossed the “Iron Curtain” to dazzle and charm music enthusiasts everywhere. After 11 CDs, DVDs, teaching books and collaborations with many other top-flight musicians, Gambetta is increasingly known as one of the true live master innovators of the acoustic guitar. With America in his heart and his roots in the sun and the olive trees of the Mediterranean sea, he naturally and seamlessly bridges the shores of the two continents.
Come smile tonight with this musician from Genova.
