Tommy Emmanuel has achieved enough musical milestones to satisfy several lifetimes—if he was the kind of artist who was ever satisfied. At the age of six, he was touring regional Australia with his family band. By 30, he was a rock n’ roll lead guitarist, burning up stadiums in Europe. At 44, he became one of five people ever named a Certified Guitar Player by his idol, music icon Chet Atkins. Today, he plays hundreds of sold-out shows every year from Nashville to Sydney to London. He brings a special joy to the stage, and Chet Atkins calls him “one of the best guitar players I’ve ever seen”. “If you like guitar playing, it simply doesn’t get
any better than Tommy,” notes Jason Isbell. Rodney Crowell says, “With him, it’s all human.” Join us tonight for this extraordinary night with one of the world’s best! Opening act: Mike Dawes.
Premium reserved seating is available for this performance from the box office ONLY at 207-633-5159. Regular general admission tickets are available both online at boothbayoperahouse.com and from the box
office. The Opera House requires all audience members to show proof of full vaccination plus booster at the door.

We’ve had to cancel this rite of Spring over the past two years due to the pandemic, but we are looking forward to the return of the Pan Fried Steel drum band and the dozens of steel drums they travel with.
Expect an evening that will transport you to the islands. In fact, wear your sandals and shorts and come to the Opera House tonight for a night at the beach. Close your eyes and you will believe you are somewhere else other than Maine for a moment. Somewhere much warmer…Island drink specials at the bar too!
