Buildings that once seemed ordinary will take on eerie new dimensions as The Lady in the Red Cloak relives their history and that of the ghostly entities that are said to still reside there. These “Bad Boys” are real traffic stoppers, on Thursday before Columbus Day weekend, as they are delivered-in-place for Damariscotta Pumpkinfest & Regatta™ .

The evenings are drawing in all over Maine and what better way to begin the fall season than with an evening of classical music! The music of Abend Musik, concerts of classical music, will be presented at St. Patrick Church at 380 Academy Hill Road in Newcastle, on Friday evening, Oct. 7 at 7:30.
John Reinhardt, bass-baritone, and Sean Fleming, piano-forte, will present the musical masterpieces of Franz Schubert, Johannes Brahms, and Robert Schumann.
In the second half of the program, both performers combine their musical artistry in Robert Schumann’s towering musical masterpiece, “Dicterliebe,” a cycle of 16 songs based on poems by Heinrich Heine.
