Coastal Senior College Events Committee announces a timely discussion by Paul Kando of electric bills and how to respond to them. This half-hour illustrated presentation will summarize our results to date. The presentation will be followed by open discussion. Miles & St. Andrews Home Health and Hospice will offer a six-week “Survivors of Suicide” support group for family members and close friends of suicide victims starting on March 2 from 6 to 7:30 p.m.

The Survivors of Suicide support group will be facilitated by Lisa Hammer, a medical social worker who is a member of Miles & St. Andrews hospice team. Hammer specializes in grief and loss and has extensive experience facilitating bereavement support groups in Brunswick, Augusta, and Damariscotta. She is also a regular presenter throughout Maine on the nature of complicated bereavement.

The six-week closed group requires a minimum of four participants and is free of charge. Registration by Feb. 20 is required. To register, or for more information, please call Miles & St. Andrews Home Health & Hospice’s Bereavement Services at 563-4177.
