On Wednesday, March 1st at 2:00pm, St. Andrews Village will host meteorologist Adam Epstein of WGME CBS/13 Television who will present “WEATHER 101.”
Adam will discuss and share photos of Maine’s vast and often dangerous weather including thunderstorms, hurricanes, and blizzards. Plus, attendees will get a behind-the-scenes look at the WGME television studio from a different perspective.
Attendees will walk away with an enhanced understanding of meteorology and broadcasted forecasts. Light refreshments will be served to include Moon Pies, Cyclone Scones, Jet Stream Java and Tropical Tea!

Miles & St. Andrews Home Health and Hospice will offer a six-week “Survivors of Suicide” support group for family members and close friends of suicide victims starting on March 2 from 6 to 7:30 p.m.
The Survivors of Suicide support group will be facilitated by Lisa Hammer, a medical social worker who is a member of Miles & St. Andrews hospice team. Hammer specializes in grief and loss and has extensive experience facilitating bereavement support groups in Brunswick, Augusta, and Damariscotta. She is also a regular presenter throughout Maine on the nature of complicated bereavement.
The six-week closed group requires a minimum of four participants and is free of charge. Registration by Feb. 20 is required. To register, or for more information, please call Miles & St. Andrews Home Health & Hospice’s Bereavement Services at 563-4177.
