On Thursday, May 9, third-grade students from the classes of teachers Jen Gregg, Tracy Renault, and Kellie Peters at Great Salt Bay Community School in Damariscotta enjoyed a springtime class trip to Pinkham’s Plantation Garden and Landscape Center on Biscay Road in Damariscotta. They were there to learn how and help prepare some 600 pumpkin seeds to be given away on Sunday, May 19 at Pinkham’s.

Russell Harrington Creamer, 92, of Waldoboro, died peacefully on May 12, 2019, after a lengthy battle with Parkinson’s disease. He was born March 2, 1927, the son of Milton and Hattie Rines Creamer. He was educated in the Waldoboro schools, graduating in 1944.

Ecumenical Diaper Bank Sets Annual Drive Goal at 13,000 Diapers
The Ecumenical Diaper Bank is beginning its fifth year of distributing diapers to low-income families. Again this year, Midcoast area churches will hold diaper drives from Mother’s Day, May 12, through Father’s Day, June 16. They hope to raise enough donations of funds and diapers with this annual drive to continue to supplement family supplies of diapers.
