Coopers Mills Food Mobile Rescheduled for February 21st

Sheepscot Valley Health Center is pleased to host a Good Shepherd Food Bank Food Mobile distribution at the Whitefield Lions Club on Wednesday, Feb. 21 from 10:30 a.m. to noon. Originally scheduled in January, the event was postponed due to snowy weather.

Seasoned Vocal Teacher Returns to Lincoln County

Betsey Marthelia deGroff, one of Maine’s most well known vocal teachers, is pleased to announce she has happily moved back to Lincoln County where she is now accepting students for her new voice studio at her home in Southport.

Bristol Lions Learn About the Bristol Mills Dam Study

Claire Enterline, chair of the Bristol Mills Dam Advisory Committee, spoke to the Bristol Area Lions Club at their Feb. 5 meeting. Enterline holds a bachelor’s degree in environmental science from Boston University and a master’s degree in zoology focusing on fish behavior from the University of New Hampshire.

James A. Stewart, of Dresden, and Melissa M. Stewart, of Dresden, were granted a divorce on Jan. 16. They were married in Dresden on Sept. 2, 2000. Shared parental rights of two minor children.

Susan Leach

Susan Leach, 61, of Boothbay, passed away at the University Medical Center in Salt Lake City, Utah, on Jan. 30, from complications of the flu.

Ralph L. Colby, 74, of Wiscasset, passed away unexpectedly Feb. 11 at his home. He was born Jan. 9, 1944, the son of Leroy and Lillian (Gagnon) Colby.

Merritt Brackett Dodgeball Tourney is March 10

The Friends of the Merritt Brackett Lobster Boat Races group will host the third annual dodgeball tournament on Saturday, March 10, to benefit the 2018 Merritt Brackett Lobster Boat Races in August at Bristol Consolidated School.
