Elisha Hopkins’ 9-year-old son Gage is having a yard sale on Saturday, Sept. 23 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. to raise money to help those impacted by the recent hurricanes at Hatch Well Drillers, 13 E. Pond Road, Nobleboro.

‘Magic of Marimba’ to Feature Music of Zimbabwe

On Saturday, Sept. 23 at 7 p.m., the Maine Marimba Ensemble will perform a concert titled “Magic of Marimba,” featuring traditional and contemporary Zimbabwean music on an assortment of handmade marimbas at Darrows Barn, DRA Round Top Farm, 3 Round Top Lane, Damariscotta.

Lincolnville’s Lynn Travis Exhibiting at Botanical Gardens

“The Everyday Gardener,” an exhibition of large paintings by Maine artist Lynn Travis, is on view at the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens, at 132 Botanical Gardens Drive in Boothbay, through Oct. 31. The gardens and the exhibit are open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Deborah Kozak Art at Rising Tide

Local printmaker Deborah Kozak will have a collection of her linocut prints on display at Rising Tide Community Market in Damariscotta from Sunday, Oct. 1 through Saturday, Oct. 28. These original limited-edition prints — primarily made by the reduction process in which a single block is repeatedly carved — reflect the beauty of Midcoast Maine and include several seascapes and floral works.
