Wiscasset School Supplies for Children Seeks Donations
Wiscasset School Supplies for Children started in July 2013 and is going on its fourth year supplying the students of Wiscasset with supplies to start their school year.
Wiscasset Elementary School
Wiscasset Elementary School welcomed pre-K and kindergarten students for their screening on Sept. 5 and 6. On Sept. 7, students arrived for an orientation, which included a visit to the playground, a classroom, and the lunch room, and finally a bus ride. It was an exciting morning for everyone included.
Governor Directs Flags to Half-Staff on Monday, Sept. 11
Gov. Paul R. LePage has directed that on Patriot Day, Monday, Sept. 11, both U.S. and State of Maine flags shall be lowered to half-staff. Flags will fly at half-staff for the entire day.
Paint Night at Medomak Arts
Members of the public are invited to join artist Libbie Winslow for a paint night on Thursday, Sept. 21 at 6:30 p.m. at Medomak Arts, 13 Friendship St., Waldoboro. Winslow will guide an acrylic painting session of a seasonal scene of radiant sunflowers. Participants will go home with an original painting to frame or give as a gift.

Jefferson Village School News
We have a new student/family handbook. A copy is being sent home with all students and we would appreciate if families would return the signature page at the back of the handbook to the school acknowledging that one has received and read it.
