Albert William Rottner, 91, of Pemaquid, passed away on the evening of Oct.28 at Cove’s Edge in Damariscotta. Born on June 2, 1926 in Newark, N.J., he was the son of Hugo and Mary (Cameron) Rottner.

A tribute to Mary Ellen Crowley

My friend and colleague Mary Ellen Crowley received a diagnosis of cervical cancer this past year. She has gone through three rounds of treatment with radiation and chemotherapy. Cervical cancer is a tough diagnosis to begin with, but we all held out hope that she would beat the odds. But then it spread to her lymph nodes, and now it has made its way into her lungs.

Henry James Wellman, 69, died on Oct. 25, 2017 at his home in Washington.  Henry was born June 29, 1948 in Damariscotta to James and Virginia Creamer Wellman.  He grew up in Waldoboro and attended local schools.

Virginia Elizabeth (Mayo) Bell

Virginia Elizabeth (Mayo) Bell, 88, of Newcastle, died peacefully on Oct. 18. She was the beloved wife of the late Ronald Harry Bell.
