The 2018 State Class B swim meets were dedicated to long time swim coach Don Strout. Strout coaches the Lincasset Bay teams (Lincoln Academy, Boothbay Region and Wiscasset). He has coached swimming for two and a half decades, including 17 years at Lincoln Academy.

Medomak Valley wrestler Elias Miller won the State Class B 152 pound championship at Wells High School on Feb. 17. Panther alternate Jake Gess placed third at 170 pounds, Amos Hinkley was third at 195, and Elijah Lash (182) and Erik Benner (220) placed fourth. Medomak placed fifth as a team.
