Date Change for Parking Lot Paving at CLC YMCA
Hagar Enterprises will commence paving the Central Lincoln County YMCA’s parking lot beginning Thursday, Aug. 9, previously scheduled for Aug. 2 but delayed due to weather. On this date, Hagar will pave a portion of the lot, and although the Y will remain open, there will be limited parking available.

Monika Gulyas’ calling to make a difference in the lives of women and to help them and their families through the life-changing events of pregnancy, childbirth, and motherhood led her to become a certified nurse midwife. Gulyas now joins Dr. Robert Howard, Dr. Deborah Eisenberg, MD, and certified nurse midwives Bridget Buck and Stacey Rees at the Lincoln Medical Partners Women’s Center in Damariscotta.
Damariscotta Receives Grant for YMCA Pre-K Program
The town of Damariscotta was recently awarded a $50,000 community development block grant for a private, onsite pre-kindergarten program at the Central Lincoln County YMCA. The implementation of the program at the Y will be a new and expanded service to meet the need for full-day childcare and pre-K programs.
More Than 3,000 Free Summer Meals Served
With 14 meals sites total, including five new sites, the free summer meals program has served over 3,000 healthy meals to children so far this summer. The program, which is sponsored by the U.S. Department of Agriculture, the U.S. Department of Education, and locally by Healthy Lincoln County, aims to feed all children while on summer vacation from school.

North Nobleboro Community Association members recently held their final planning meeting for North Nobleboro Day. This year, the festivities will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 11 at the community grounds on Upper East Pond Road, or until the chicken runs out. This will be the 46th year that members of the community have joined together to organize a great day of fun for their neighbors while raising money to benefit the local area.
