The work of Walpole painter Susan Bartlett Rice is beautiful. In early 2017, Rice displayed a small collection of winter-inspired paintings at the Bristol Area Library. She currently has a fairly large exhibit of landscape and wildlife paintings on the walls of Savory Maine Dining & Provisions in Damariscotta. This is sure to delight her fans – and to create new fans for her lovely work.
Bristol Road Galleries in Multiple Locations for Twin Villages ArtWalk
The Bristol Road Galleries group in Damariscotta is participating in the Twin Villages ArtWalk in two ways this year. All four galleries on Bristol Road will be open and, in addition, the work of all four artists will be on display in a tent at the Damariscotta River Distribution at 68 Main St., Newcastle. The Bristol Road Galleries is a collaboration of four artists: watercolorists Jan Kilburn and Kathleen Horst, oil painter Will Kefauver, and sculptor Marnie Sinclair.

Paint Night with Libbie Winslow
Join artist Libbie Winslow for yet another paint night on Thursday, June 29 at 6:30 p.m. at Medomak Arts, 13 Friendship St., Waldoboro. Winslow will guide an acrylic painting session of a seasonal scene of a blossoming cherry tree glowing in the moonlight. Exhibit Highlights Seafaring Traditions of Early Tattoo Art
A special summer exhibit, “Dungeons and Dragons: Seafarers and Tattoos,” opens on Saturday, June 10 at the Lincoln County Historical Association’s Old Jail Museum on Federal Street in Wiscasset. The setting is very appropriate for this exhibit, since the seafarers adorned with tattoos were often “guests” of the jail.
