CMP Fights Weather to Repair Area Power Outages
Repair crews are making progress returning power to Lincoln County households in spite of treacherous roads and continued snowfall, according to Central Maine Power (CMP). A total of 110 households, 79 in Boothbay Harbor and 31 in Bristol, were suffering from power outages in the late morning hours. By 1 p.m. that number had been reduced to 31, but CMP was unclear as to where in Lincoln County they were located.

Higher Snowfall Totals Now Forecast for Thurs. Storm, Evening Commute May Still See Mix
The latest National Weather Service (NWS) advisory (11:32 a.m.) has upgraded the snowfall totals for Lincoln County regarding a weather front that has been dumping heavy, wet snowflakes on the area since early Thursday morning. Snowfall accumulation is now forecast at 8 to 12 inches for the entire area with possible exceptions for extreme coastal areas and the tips of south facing peninsulas where the snow may mix with rain, according to the NWS.
Bristol Fire Victim’s Cause Of Death Released
The 69-year-old Bristol woman who was the victim of a Dec. 9 fire in her garage died of “thermal burns and associated severe coronary atherosclerosis.”
