News Update — Whitefield Couple Loses Home in Night-Time Blaze
A Whitefield couple lost their home in a raging structure fire Fri. night, despite the best efforts of firefighters from eight local towns to control the flames. Fire victims Stephen and Holly Torsey of 651 Townhouse Rd. in Whitefield were able to escape without major injury, with Holly running to a neighbor’s home for assistance, according Whitefield Fire Chief Jim Brann.
Bristol Tool Shed Burns
A Pemaquid Falls tool shed was destroyed by fire last Friday.
Bristol Fire Chief Ron Pendleton said the shed was owned by Ted Lewis, 69, a carpenter and handy man who lives on Rt. 130 about a half mile north of Pemaquid Falls.
