NWS Issues Winter Storm Watch in Advance of Weds. N’oreaster
The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a Winter Storm Watch in advance of an approaching storm due to hit Lincoln County beginning Weds. morning.
Snowfall should begin in the morning hours then change over to rain and sleet as temps climb during the daytime hours. The storm’s effects are forecast to continue into the evening commute, but the precipitation is forecast to become lighter. Up to four to eight inches of snowfall is forecast to accumulate before the changeover to rain, according to the NWS.
The Winter Storm Watch is in effect from 9 a.m. Weds. morning through 1 a.m. Thurs. morning, according to the NWS.
