D Eugene Youtz, 80, of Hilton Head Island, S.C. in winter, and New Harbor in summer, died on Nov. 21.

George N. Douin, 60, of Wiscasset, died suddenly Nov. 29 at his residence.

Claire Bailey Gardner, 85, of Wiscasset, passed away on Nov. 25 at her home.

Jean B. Slocum, 98, died Nov. 30 at St. Andrews Village, Boothbay Harbor.

Cynthia Lee Pepper, 61, of Port St. Lucie, Fla., formerly of Nobleboro, passed away Dec. 5, 2017 after a battle with a very rare form of cancer. Her passing was peaceful and she was surrounded by all of her children.

Francis Lewis Richards (Frank), of Wiscasset, passed away on Nov. 18. He was born in Somerville, Mass. on April 4, 1933.

James Birger Watson, of Queensland, Nova Scotia, Canada, died from complications of pneumonia Nov. 26.

Bettie Marie Simmons, 89, spent her final days surrounded by loving family and passed away peacefully on Nov. 15 at Cove’s Edge nursing home in Damariscotta after a long battle with Alzheimer’s.

Daniel Kelley passed away on Nov. 22 after a brief illness.

Donna R. Bond, 82, passed away Nov. 24 at the Sussman House in Rockport. Donna was born Sept. 29, 1936 in Rockland, the daughter of George William Rogers and Annie (Overlock) Rogers.
