Georgia Kurrus Sledge, 82, of Westport Island, passed away peacefully in her home on Jan. 26, surrounded by her children and her husband of over 60 years, Clement Blount Sledge, M.D. 

Rebecca A. Crittenden, of New Gloucester, formerly of Newcastle, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Jan. 20. She was born Sept. 10, 1957 in Norfolk, Va. She graduated in 1975 from Morse High School in Bath.

Ralph W. Egers Jr. passed away peacefully on the morning of Jan. 26 after a long illness. He was born Sept. 10, 1934 in Portland, the first son of Ralph Sr. and Mary Cotton Egers.

Harold (“Hedy”) Leroy Ertman, 85, of Pemaquid Point, and Palm Desert, Calif., passed away on Jan. 19. The last year and a half of his life, he suffered from lung cancer.

Alberta R. Cope, 81, of Dresden, passed away on Jan. 16 at Mid Coast Hospital in Brunswick. 

Mary Ellen Crowley, 62, of Damariscotta, formerly of Marshfield, Mass., died on Jan. 21 at the home of her sister, surrounded by family and friends after a long illness.

Leonard O. Pufahl, of Portsmouth, N.H., passed away on Jan. 16 at Massachusetts General Hospital with his family by his side.

Ryan E. Griffin, 32, of New Harbor, passed away Jan. 1 with his loving family by his side.

Kilton Todd Osier passed on the 19th of January, 2018. He was born on the 13th of April, 1936, to Carroll P. Osier and Evelyn L. (Poore) Osier. Evelyn subsequently passed from complications of the birth on the 2nd of May, 1936.

Virginia Pauline (Tibbetts) Pinette, 93, passed away on the morning of Jan. 17

Kay Rhenstrom Meyer, 82, of Bristol, passed peacefully, surrounded by her family Jan. 18 at Maine Medical Center in Portland, after a brief illness.

Paul Joseph Hickey, 77, of Newcastle, died peacefully at home on Jan. 15 with his family, after a valiant and persistent fight against cancer.

Eileen McGowan Guthrie, 79, of Walpole, formerly of Annandale, N.J., passed away on the evening of Jan. 18, surrounded by loved ones at Chase Point Assisted Living in Damariscotta, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease.
