Doris Daisy Bedford, 93, passed away on the morning of May 28, at Cove’s Edge Nursing Home in Damariscotta. She was born on June 23, 1922 in West Orange, N.J., one of six children to Stanley E. Bedford and Daisy (High) Bedford. She graduated from West Orange High School in West Orange, N.J.

Christine Sherman Nelson, 94, passed away peacefully on the morning of May 16 at her home at Chase Point in Damariscotta. Christine was born on July 22, 1921 in South Newcastle, where she grew up with her parents, Fred and Lena (Cochran) Sherman, and her two older brothers, Roger and Paul. When Christine started high school, her family moved into town to be closer to Lincoln Academy.
