Charles Blakeslee Parmelee, 83, of Damariscotta, passed away peacefully on July 10 in an Augusta nursing home during a thundershower, his wife and other family members by his side, with one of his screwdrivers, its handle worn smooth by years of steadfast use, in his hand.

Committal service will be held for Lester H. Vinal Jr., who passed away Dec. 9, 2009, 4 p.m., Thurs., July 22 at Dunbar Cemetery in Nobleboro, with military honors.

Nancy Lee Paine, 79, a resident of Waldoboro for 23 years, died July 20 at her home with her family by her side after a long period of failing health.

Two survivors were accidentally omitted in the obituary for Josephine “Jo” Hinds, 72, of Waldoboro, in the March 11 edition of The Lincoln County News, they were her stepchildren, Shelly and David West.
