“Childhood Memories of the Maine Central RR Station,” by Calvin and Marjorie Dodge drew me back to the 1940s as I too grew up in Damariscotta. (LCN, 11/14/11, Page 13)
To all involved
Thank you to all involved in the recent repairs and restorations to the Walpole, Huston, Woodward Cemetery on Bristol Road, Damariscotta. It was a job well done by our Cemetery Board and, most recently, by residents of Two Bridges Regional Jail in Wiscasset.
Welfare Recipients Should Be Drug Tested
I believe that Governor LePage is right and the welfare recipients should be drug tested. I think it is an insult to the hard working Mainers who pay State taxes that help support the welfare recipient. Why should our tax dollars support a drug addiction?
GIVE THANKS
Each year at this time, as we pause to give thanks for the blessings we enjoy, we are especially thankful as we consider the letter from Waldoboro Selectman Steve Cartwright last week, and the responses he engendered this week.
Herman Cain 2012

Well Done, Bristol Diner
Easter Connolly and Dale Swartzentruber are two very fun and creative people in our community.

To the Editor:
It was on the eleventh hour, the eleventh day of the eleventh month, that World War I was declared over.
Denigrating the Wiscasset School System
To the Editor:
I am absolutely appalled that two of Wiscasset outstanding citizens would denigrate the excellent Wiscasset School System with remarks in a letter to the editor…
He Wanted A Party
To the Editor:
I have found out that Marvin Tarbox Jr. did not want a funeral.
Community Water Fluoridation Is An Unacceptable Strategy
To the Editor:
It became obvious to me during my 35 years of practice that community fluoridation of water supplies is not the significant factor in tooth decay reduction.
