After a one-year absence, Lincoln Academy boys’ basketball team made a short run in the West Class B playoffs at the Portland Expo. The Valentine’s Day match-up with Falmouth was not very sweet for the Eagles, who lost 68-42 in a lopsided quarterfinal game. Falmouth jumped out to a 21-6 first quarter lead, and led 29-18 at the half and 53-32 at the end of three. Falmouth was the third seed, and Lincoln the seventh seed.

Medomak Valley wrestlers pinned down two wins on Saturday, beating Oxford Hills 42-12 and Winslow 42-30, and losing to Oak Hill 18-56.
Lincoln Academy’s wrestling team picked up three wins in a home meet on Saturday, beating Winslow 63-18, Brewer 60-24, and Mt. View 72-12.
The Wicked Good Winter Challenge was held at the Webber Pool at Husson University in Bangor on Jan. 9.
Junior Varsity Basketball Action in Lincoln County
Medomak Valley girls’ basketball team picked up mega heal points with a 27-26 win over 2nd ranked Mt.View Friday night in Waldoboro.

Lincoln Academy girls’ swim team and Wiscasset’s boys’ swim team defeated Winslow on Friday. The Lady Eagles won 47-45 and the boys won 45-38. Tim George broke his own WHS swim record (set in 2005) in the 100 breast in 1:11.00.

The Medomak Valley Pee-Wee Wrestling program (pre-K through Grade 4) begins on Mon., Feb. 2 and runs through April.
Boys and girls from the SAD 40 area are welcome and encouraged to participate. This program will introduce basic skills and techniques.
Lincoln Academy wrestlers traveled to Gardiner for a four team dual meet on Saturday, and came home with a 54-30 win over the Tigers.
Lincoln Academy and Wiscasset swim teams broke relay records in their first home meet of the season on Jan. 16.
