Medomak Middle School cheerleaders continued their dynasty on Jan. 25 by winning the 2012 Busline League championship on their home court in Waldoboro.

Medomak senior Alanna Vose scored her 1000th career point with 3:22 to play in the 3rd period of the Lady Panthers East B Quarterfinal game with Nokomis.

Lincoln Academy boys upset sixth seed Greely 55-54 on a three pointer at the buzzer from Jalen Lincoln and the Medomak Valley girls basketball team defeated Winslow 46-30 in the East B prelims Tuesday night.

Wiscasset boys’ basketball team defeated St. Dom’s 42-38 Monday night to improve their record to 9-6.

Medomak Valley girls’ basketball team trailed by as many as 15 points in the 1st half, before rallying to cut the lead to two mid-way through the third period.

East and West basketball playoff will be in full swing this week. Playoff games will be held as follows:

Lincoln Academy boys’ basketball finished the season with an 8-10 record and are seeded 11th in West Class B. The Eagles travel to Greely Tues., Feb. 14 for a 7 p.m. preliminary game.

Medomak boys’ basketball team won the battle of the big cats Jan. 26 in Waldoboro.

Two Medomak Valley wrestlers placed at the State Class B championships in Fryeburg on Saturday. Yannick Price Prevot was runner-up in the 220 weight division, and Cyril Miller placed 3rd at 170 pounds.

The Medomak Valley boys’ basketball team defeated Gardiner 61-57 to win the 2012 KVAC championship in Augusta Saturday.

Three boys’ swimmers placed at the State Class B swim championships at Bowdoin College on Monday.

Seven High school wrestlers from Lincoln County qualified for the State championship tournament in regional action Feb. 11. 

Cony girls defeated Lincoln Academy Monday night in a close match-up 53-41, and beat Wiscasset 75-17.

Lincoln Academy boys were on a roll, beating Oceanside in their KVAC finale to make the West Class B tournament as the 11th seed, and then upsetting sixth ranked Greely in the preliminaries.
