Wiscasset girls’ basketball team defeated Telstar on the road on Feb. 3, 43-40.

The Medomak Valley Panther girls’ basketball team defeated the Caribou Vikings 52-30 at the Bangor Auditorium in the East B Regional Quarter Finals earlier tonight.

Lincoln Academy girls’ swim team’s “Fab Four” placed seventh at the State Class B swimming championships, held Feb. 19 at the University of Maine Orono. After the morning preliminaries, four Lady Eagles: Heidi Ziegra, Kara Mullin, Valeska Vaughn and Gretchen Konitzky advanced to the finals.

Medomak Valley boys’ basketball team held off Oak Hill late in the fourth quarter to pick up their 13th win of the season.

Medomak Middle School cheerleaders won the Busline League championship on Feb. 17.

Medomak Valley girls’ basketball defeated Caribou 52-30 in the East Class B Regional Quarter-finals in Bangor Feb. 18. The Lady Panthers advance to the semi-finals for the first time since 1987. They play number two ranked John Bapst in the East B semi-finals on Wed., Feb. 23 at 2:05 p.m.

The Lady Panthers picked up wins over Rockland, Camden and Oak Hill to improve their record to 15-2.

Four Medomak wrestlers placed at the East B championships at MDI on Saturday to qualify for the State Class B wrestling championships to be held at the Augusta Civic Center on Feb. 12. Stefan Nicholls (130) placed second, and Cyrill Miller (160), Dylan Look (215) and Gabe Delano (285) placed fourth.

The Waynflete boys needed double overtime to advance over Wiscasset, 50-48, in a West C Quarter Final at the Augusta Civic Center tonight.

Lincoln Academy girls and Wiscasset boys won their final home swim meet of the season Tuesday night.

Medomak Valley cheerleaders poured their heart and soul into their performance Saturday afternoon at the Augusta Civic Center and were rewarded with the 2011 Western Maine Class B championship. The regional title is the first for the Panthers.
