Lincoln Academy held their winter sports awards on March 3, and the swim team held their awards March 9.

Lincoln Academy 130 pound wrester Sarah Alley won the Maine High School Girls Wrestling Championships Saturday in Gardiner.

Number three seed Medomak Valley girls’ basketball team upset number two ranked John Bapst Feb. 24 to advance to the Eastern Maine Class B championship game against Nokomis.

Kara Mullin was named KVAC female swimmer of the meet, and LA coach Don Strout was named KVAC Girls Coach of the Year.

After press time today, The Medomak Valley Lady Panthers defeated John Bapst 54-36 to advance to the East B final Saturday.

The Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference championships will be held on Sat., Feb. 12 at Cony High School, boys at 5 and girls 7 p.m.

Medomak Middle School cheerleaders rocked the house at Rockland District High School on Feb. 17 to win the 2011 Busline League cheering championship. The Riverhawks won the Busline title in 2009, but surrendered it to Woolwich in 2010.

Wiscasset girls’ basketball team defeated Telstar on the road on Feb. 3, 43-40.

The Medomak Valley Panther girls’ basketball team defeated the Caribou Vikings 52-30 at the Bangor Auditorium in the East B Regional Quarter Finals earlier tonight.
