Rockland softball knocked off the number one seed, undefeated Medomak Middle School in the Northern Division championship, to advance the Busline Championships at Medomak Middle School on June 10.

Medomak Valley High School Senior Morgan Baum won the State Class B javelin championship at Windham High School June 5.

Kayla Santheson (8K,0B,1HP) threw a two hit shutout to lead the Panthers to a 2-0 victory over Lincoln Academy on May 28 in Waldoboro. The win avenged a loss to the Lady Eagles earlier in the season. Both teams are 12-3, with one game remaining.

Todd Richards, of Round Pond, and teammates Brian Wedge of Harpswell and Matt O’Donnell of Pittston, won the Southern Maine Cycling Club’s Scarborough Crit Series.

Brett Collamore, of Waldoboro, won the Aquafina Major League Baseball Pitch, Hit & Run New England Regional Team competition in the 9 and 10-year-old age division at Fenway Park in Boston June 12.

Lincoln Academy boys’ tennis team beat Lisbon 5-0 in the West Class B quarterfinals on June 2 in Newcastle.
