Lincoln County Legion baseball nipped O’Brien Oil 4-1 in their season opener.

Led by the Lincoln Academy Eagles and the Medomak Valley Lady Panthers, Lincoln County teams enjoyed mixed results in quarter final tournament action earlier today.

Lincoln Academy girls lacrosse have shown steady improvement all season and were rewarded for their efforts with three straight wins this week.

The top male and female runners in the Waldoboro Day 5K were teenagers from Medomak Valley High School.

The Medomak Valley Lady Panthers trounced visiting Dover Foxcroft to take a 17-0 win in East B preliminary action earlier this afternoon in Waldoboro.

Lincoln Academy’s baseball team split two games this week, losing to Belfast in makeup action on Saturday and beating Oak Hill 16-5 on Tuesday. The Eagles are 11-4 with one game to go, at Camden on June 3.

Wiscasset baseball wins one of three. Jimmy Davis (3H, 5K, 4B) won the pitchers’ duel with Castonguay on May 13 for a 2-1 win.

Lincoln Academy baseball wins two of three this week. They got their bats going in late innings to beat Mt.View 12-4 on Friday.

Eighteen strong and sturdy members turned out Saturday to the Wawenock Country Club to rake leaves, pick up debris and work on a few of Paul’s other assignments.

Brandon Campbell captured two first places and Cameron Grover one in Wiscasset’s first home track meet of the season. Campbell won the 300 hurdles in 41.9 and the triple jump (40’3″).

Lincoln Academy announced this week that Conrad Lewis has been hired as the head girls’ basketball coach. Lewis assisted Sam Farrell last year. Farrell stepped down from the position to take the head coaching job at Brunswick High School.

Lincoln Academy track and field athletes Sara Komorowski and Eric Roberts won events in the Eagles’ first track meet of the season at Camden.

Lincoln Academy graduate and University of Maine Presque Isle player Devon Peaslee was named to the All-Independent Men’s Basketball Second Team in basketball.
