The memory and legacy of Matthew Budrow will be carried on for generations to come, thanks to friends and community members who have established scholarship funds in his honor.

Lincoln Academy senior Dalton Kinney will be traveling to Idaho in February to represent Maine in the Special Olympic World Winter Games in snowshoeing.

After many tournament delays, the two finalists for the Senior Club Championship, Clayton Giggey and Stan Wade, came together for the final match on Columbus Day.

Medomak Valley boys’ and girls’ soccer teams played for the KVAC title Thursday in Augusta.

The final points race unfolded on Oct. 12 as faithful fans bundled in blankets to see the outcome of the championship standings for the season.

Medomak Valley boys’ soccer team defeated Gardiner 4-1 on Oct. 15 in their KVAC finale, to improve their record to 11-3. The win puts them in the KVAC championship game on Oct. 22.

Medomak Middle School collected the very first trophies for their new school on Oct. 9 at the Busline League championships, held at Camden. The girls and boys placed second.

 

Dirigo jumped out to a 2-0 half-time lead and held off a spunky Lady Redskin team in second half action to 2-1 at Wiscasset’s Homecoming.
