Medomak Valley squeaked out a one run win in eight innings over Oak Hill at home on April 29. Kayla Santheson struck out 14 (2B,5H) to collect her first win of the year. Hall took the loss for Oak Hill (8K,2B,7H).
Breaking News – Lincoln Academy Boys’ Tennis Crowned KVAC Champions
Lincoln Academy boys’ tennis team defeated Waterville 3-2 on May 28 to win the KVAC championship. The Eagles rang the school bell Friday morning in celebration of their win.
Medomak Baseball 1-3 on the Week
Oak Hill raided Medomak in Waldoboro on April 29 for an 8-7 win. The Raiders took full advantage of four Panthers errors. Dale Winchenbach (5K, 3B, 7H) took the loss.
Wiscasset Boys’ Tennis Nip Roadrunners, Fall To Bulldogs and Mustangs
Wiscasset boys’ tennis wrapped up their Mt. Valley season Tuesday with a 3-2 loss to Hall-Dale. The Redskins beat Mt. Abram 3-2 on May 20 and lost 5-0 to Monmouth on May 22. Wiscasset ended the regular season with a 5-6 record and look to be seeded fourth or fifth in post season play.
Lincoln Academy and Medomak Track Meet Results
Medomak girls won the 3200 relay, Chelsea Wochomurka won the 3200, Morgan Baum the javelin, Josh Parmenter won the 300 hurdles and Alex MacKenzie the high jump for Medomak in a 10-team track and field meet at Belfast on May 22.
Medomak Softball Clip the Eagles
Medomak Valley softball clipped the Eagles on Friday, 5-3 in Newcastle. Kayla Vannah collected the win (11K,4H,3B), and Amelia Pennington took the loss (9H,1K,0B).

The CLC YMCA 3rd and 4th grade girls’ travel team won the Wiscasset Park and Recreation Dept.’s 3rd and 4th grade girls’ Invitational Basketball Tournament over the weekend.

Katie Hagar ran third in her first race for NASCAR Drive for Diversity and Golden State Racing on March 21. Hagar hit the charts second fastest out of a field of 14 at Madera Speedway in practice.

The deadline for persons who choose to use a paper application for the 2009 Moose Permit Lottery is fast approaching. Completed paper moose lottery applications must be postmarked by April 1 or delivered to the Dept. of Inland Fisheries & Wildlife’s (IF&W) Augusta office by 5 p.m. on April 1.
CLAW Wrestling Sees Individual Success
Central Lincoln Area Wrestling (CLAW) saw individual success in two home meets this week. CLAW lost to Mt. Ararat at the CLC YMCA on Feb. 26, then hosted a four team meet on Saturday at Lincoln Academy, falling to Mt.Valley, Camden and Bath.
Boothbay Boys, Midcoast AAU Win Medomak Midcoast Madness Tourney
Boothbay 8th grade boys defeated Medomak 8th graders by one at the buzzer, and Midcoast AAU girls topped Boothbay girls to win the first annual Medomak Midcoast Madness 7th and 8th grade basketball tournament held at Medomak Valley and Medomak Middle Schools over the weekend in the Travel teams’ grand finale for the season.
