“Monhegan Days” art show runs from September 15th through October 9th. The gallery is open from 10-7 p.m. Come see works by oil painter Will Kefauver and his guest artists. Works in oil, watercolor, goache, acrylic, and sculpture depict the views, the architecture, and the charm of Monhegan Island. RECEPTION on September 17, 4:30-6:30. Refreshments will be served. Free parking.

Led by the mysterious “Lady in the Red Cloak” with her lantern, you will see buildings that once seemed ordinary but will take on eerie new dimensions as she relives their history, and that of the ghosts that are said to still reside there. Wind through the back streets and learn the early history of Damariscotta, visit the site of countless seances, experience the haunted Maine Hotel, take a trip by the river to hear about the Mystery Ship, and more. Scotland’s Dougie MacLean has built an international reputation as songwriter, composer and extraordinary performer on his own terms.
