My sister Winnie (Linda) came for her first visit here in Topeka, for she now lives only two hours away. We are both talkers. When we got to the subject of my similarities with Julia Child, Win said, “You should write about our sister similarities.”
Beekeeping School Starting up in Damariscotta
One can discover the fascinating hobby of beekeeping by attending a 7-week course presented by experienced beekeepers from the Knox-Lincoln County Beekeepers and the Maine State Beekeepers Association, and Maine’s State Bee Inspector, who will provide one with basic information to get started as a beekeeper. This course is designed for first- and second-year beekeepers.

Union Printmaker Opens ‘Upcycled’ Show at Miles
Union artist Kathy Felch will present her “Upcycled and Repurposed” exhibition at the Hall Gallery at LincolnHealth’s Miles Campus in Damariscotta from Saturday, Jan. 6 through Friday, Feb. 9. The exhibit features 20 wood and linoleum block prints on recycled papers surrounded by repurposed frames. A portion of the sale price for any art sold in this exhibit will go to benefit the Miles Memorial Hospital League.
