Thanksgiving Morning Trail Run to Benefit Twin Villages Foodbank Farm
Getting out for a little exercise can be a gratifying way to kick off the Thanksgiving holiday, especially when it benefits a good cause. For the second year on Thanksgiving Day, volunteers will be organizing an informal trail run at Coastal Rivers Conservation Trust’s Salt Bay Farm in Damariscotta to benefit Twin Villages Foodbank Farm.

Thanksgiving Dinner for Those Alone
For those alone on Thanksgiving Day, a free dinner will be available at the Waldoboro American Legion, at 181 Jefferson St. in Waldoboro, at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 28. It is intended for those who find themselves alone on that day. There are those who, for whatever reason, have no relatives, children, or neighbors to visit that day. This dinner is for them!
Freecycling Event at St. Andrew’s
“Freecycling” is way for people who have things that they no longer use to pass them along – free of charge – to friends and neighbors who can use them. The parishioners of St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church invite all members of the community to come see what it has to offer on Saturday, Nov. 23 from 9 a.m. to noon. Available on that day will be Christmas decorations, winter clothes, toys, and small household goods.

On Wednesday, Nov. 13, the Maine Women’s Lobby Education Fund will host an event called Pay Equity Town Hall. The upcoming Pay Equity Town Hall will focus on how elected officials, business owners, and workers can come together to ensure equal pay for equal work. There will be a panel of local experts discussing the gender pay gap in Maine. Discussion topics include what pay inequity is, why it exists in Maine, and what the necessary steps are to eliminate pay disparities.

This notice is for all motorists that park on any street or road or in the municipal parking lot after hours in Damariscotta. The winter season is upon us. In accordance with the Town of Damariscotta Traffic & Parking Ordinance, Article 1.17 Winter Parking – parking is prohibited on any street, road, or municipal parking lot from Nov. 15 to April 15 between the hours of 9 p.m. and 7 a.m.
Free Veterans Day Dinner for Veterans
