Michael J. Lewis, 67, of Boothbay Harbor, passed away on June 16 at his home. Mike was born to Earland “Peanut” Lewis and Etta (Rowe) Lewis on July 2, 1948 in Boothbay Harbor, and attended local schools.

Albert Edwin Sears, 88, of New Harbor, formerly of Washington, D.C., died on June 13.

Dana A. Chapman, 67, of Waldoboro, passed away at her home on June 7. Dana was born Aug. 19, 1948 in San Diego, Cal., daughter of Homer D. Sherrod and Jessie M. Toler. She attended local schools in the San Diego, Cal. area.

Avalon Joyce Vigue, 88, of Whitefield, passed away June 15 with her family by her side. Avalon was born in Gardiner on Aug. 8, 1927, the daughter of Lyndal and Olive Goud. She grew up in Dresden. Avalon graduated from Bridge Academy class of 1945 and Kennebec School of Commerce in Gardiner.

A memorial service for Gordon Lewis Weeks, who passed away on Jan. 24, will be held at 11 a.m., Sat., June 25 at the Strong-Hancock Funeral Home, 612 Main St., Damariscotta. He will be laid to rest in the Bristol Mills Cemetery following the service.

William G. Waters died at his home on May 5. Born in Blakley, Ga., he was the son of Eleanor Smith Waters and Robert O. Waters.

Stephen Douglas McLean Sr., of Waldoboro, passed away June 12. He was born Jan. 11, 1954 in Rockland to Douglas Harold and Joan Sarah (Derosier) McLean.

Stacy Rae Day, 50, of Alna, passed away peacefully on the morning of June 12 at Mid Coast Hospital in Brunswick. Born in Damariscotta on Aug. 26, 1965, she was the daughter of Colin and Marcia (Campbell) Hall.

Edwin “Ned” Franklyn Brush Jr., 74, of New Harbor, passed away on the afternoon of May 31 at his home after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Born July 17, 1941 in Cleveland, Ohio, he was the son of Ruth and Edwin F. Brush.

Venson “Vinny” Edgar Simmons, born on Oct. 13, 1957 to George and Cynthia Simmons. Venson passed away on June 10 at the Sussman House in Rockland after a brief but courageous battle with cancer.

Arthur B. Slater, 90, died June 10 with his loving family at his side.

Eleanor Charlotte Gruhn, of Waldoboro, passed away on June 7 at MaineGeneral Hospital in Augusta. Eleanor was born on Oct. 7, 1925 in South Boston, daughter of Paul and Mary (Philben) Gruhn.

A memorial service for Vera D. Lincoln, who passed away on March 21, will be held at 10 a.m., Sat., June 18 at the Strong-Hancock Funeral Home in Damariscotta. A reception will follow the service in the Strong-Hancock Reception Room. She will be laid to rest in the Alna Cemetery.

Brenda Lee Licciardi, 59, of Newcastle, passed away peacefully at home on the afternoon of May 30 surrounded by her loving family, after a long battle with heart disease. She was born on Dec. 23, 1956, in Bridgeport, Conn.
