Chapters 35 and 101 to acquire by merger Damariscotta Bankshares, Inc., Damariscotta, Maine (“Damariscotta”) and to simultaneously merge Damariscotta Bank and Trust Company, Damariscotta, Maine, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Damariscotta, with and into Bangor Savings Bank, Bangor, Maine, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Bangor.

The Town of Waldoboro, Maine Planning Board members will hold a regularly scheduled meeting on March 11, 2020 at 6:00 p.m. at the Waldoboro Municipal Building to consider site review applications for a solar farm at 441 and 475 North Nobleboro Road.

Selectmen’s Meeting on Thursday, March 5, 2020 will begin at 4:00 pm for an Executive Session Pursuant to 1 MRSA §405(6)(A), personnel.

Notice is hereby given that on February 21, 2020, application was made by Bangor Savings Bank, 3 State Street, Bangor, Maine 04401, to the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) for consent for Damariscotta Bank and Trust Company, 25 Main Street, Damariscotta, Maine 04543 to merge with and into Bangor Savings Bank with Bangor Savings Bank as the surviving institution. It is contemplated that all of the offices of the above-named institutions will continue to be operated, with the exception that Damariscotta Bank and Trust Company’s existing Belfast branch located at 1 Belmont Avenue, Belfast, Maine 04915, will be consolidated into Bangor Savings Bank’s Belfast branch located at 7 Belmont Avenue, Belfast, Maine 04915.

The U.S. Department of Commerce, Economic Development Administration (EDA) is considering a request for Federal assistance from the Town of Damariscotta to construct major improvements in its downtown waterfront area in Damariscotta in Lincoln County, Maine. Pursuant to the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and the National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA), EDA is conducting an assessment of the potential of the proposed project to affect the environment and/or historic properties. Notice is hereby given that the project is proposed to be located in, or may affect, a floodplain and/or wetland as defined by Executive Order (EO) 11988 and/or EO 11990.

The Newcastle Board of Selectmen have scheduled a Special Town Meeting to be held on March 9, 2020 at 6:30 p.m. at the Newcastle Municipal Fire Station Community Room, located at 86 River Road, to consider the following articles:

meets the first Tuesday of each month, 7 P.M., at the Town Hall on Clarks Cove Road, Walpole.
