Lincoln Academy to Host Parent Open House Sept. 4
On Wednesday, Sept. 4, Lincoln Academy in Newcastle will host its annual open house for families of LA students. This year, the event will take place earlier in the school year and start with class meetings for parents in each grade level. All LA parents are encouraged to attend.

Sue Shiminski Retires from Bristol Consolidated School
Bristol Consolidated School is losing one of its key personnel this year as Sue Shiminski retires from her role as administrative assistant for the school at the end of the current school year. Shiminski has completed 22 years of service to the school, serving under five different principals.

GSB Third Graders Help Prep Giant Pumpkin Seeds for Seedling Sunday
On Thursday, May 9, third-grade students from the classes of teachers Jen Gregg, Tracy Renault, and Kellie Peters at Great Salt Bay Community School in Damariscotta enjoyed a springtime class trip to Pinkham’s Plantation Garden and Landscape Center on Biscay Road in Damariscotta. They were there to learn how and help prepare some 600 pumpkin seeds to be given away on Sunday, May 19 at Pinkham’s.
Kayleigh Tolley to Give Senior Recital May 10
Kayleigh Tolley, who is 18 and a senior at Lincoln Academy in Newcastle, will hold a senior recital at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Newcastle on Friday, May 10 at 7 p.m.
