South Bristol School Hosts Tricky Tray Fundraiser April 4
The annual South Bristol School Booster’s Tricky Tray fundraiser begins at the school at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 4. The Tricky Tray raffle raises funds for student programs and projects that are not covered by the school budget. Tickets are $8 for adults, $5 students (0-14) and the price includes dinner and four free raffle tickets. Additional raffle tickets at $0.25 each. The raffle drawing will begin at 6 p.m. Dinner includes chili, macaroni and cheese, cornbread, coleslaw, and dessert.
Dinner and a Show Fundraiser at Coastal Christian March 21
On Saturday, March 21, Coastal Christian School’s drama program will host its popular Dinner and a Show fundraiser at Coastal Christian School, at 574 North Nobleboro Road in Waldoboro. This fundraiser, which will begin at 5 p.m., will benefit the school’s scholarship program.
Scholarship Will Be Awarded to a Bristol Resident
The Round Pond Schoolhouse Association is accepting applications for its eighth annual William Irving Smith Scholarship. The $2,000 prize will be given to a Bristol resident for his or her higher education.
Lincoln Academy Celebrates Winter Carnival
During the week before February vacation, Lincoln Academy students celebrated their traditional winter carnival, a weeklong series of events where classes compete with each other to be crowned winter carnival champions.

The Telling Room has named Center for Teaching and Learning sixth grade student Adley Cawthon as the Lincoln County winner of its annual writing contest. Cawthon was awarded for her poem “My Interlaced Hands.”

The Center for Teaching and Learning in Edgecomb is proud to announce that Corbin Lichtinger, teacher of first and second grades, is receiving recognition as an artist and storyteller. His “Alligators Anthology” has been purchased by Holiday House/Neal Porter Books and will be published in the fall of 2027.
