Russ Wins Northeast Regional All-Around Championships

Maddy Russ, 10, of Damariscotta, was crowned Northeast Regional all-around champion at Level 5, age 9 to 10, with a score of 37.2 all around. Russ won two individual championships as well, taking first in the uneven bars with a 9.7, and the floor exercise with a 9.5.

Eagle Baseball Picks up Two Big Wins Over Winslow and Belfast

Lincoln Academy baseball picked up two big wins over Winslow and Belfast to improve their record to 5-3. At the mid-way point in the season they are ranked third in West Class B heal points. The Eagles have four games next week, including Morse, Mt. View, Medomak, and Erskine.

Medomak Baseball Beats Huskies

at

Medomak baseball defeated MCI 9-8 on May 14 on the Panthers’ home turf. The game bounced back and forth, with MCI leading 2-0 after one, Medomak 7-2 after three, the game tied at 7-7 after four, and Medomak leading by one after five. MCI tied the game in the top of the sixth.

Medomak Softball Wins First Two Games of Season

Medomak Valley softball picked up their first win of the season at Belfast on Friday, 3-1. The game featured a pitcher’s duel between Hanna Marks (6K,4H,1HP,0B) and Lion Ashley Littlefield (13K,m2B,5H,1HP).

Eagles Silence Hornets

Lincoln Academy’s baseball team scored 10 runs in the top of the sixth to beat Leavitt 20-3 by six inning mercy ruling.

Oceanside softball mercy Medomak

Oceanside scored 12 runs in the third inning to beat Medomak softball 23-7 Friday afternoon in Waldoboro.

Lady Eagles win KVAC opener

Lincoln Academy softball opened their KVAC season with a 2-0 win over Belfast on Friday.

Sodergren To Run Boston Marathon In Memory Of Fallen Maine Soldier

Cpl. Brandon Sondergren, formerly of Waldoboro, served two tours of duty in Iraq and Afghanistan, and now dedicates a big part of his life to keeping the memory of fallen soldiers alive, and also helping those who survived the war, but suffer from injuries, both visible and invisible.
