Lincoln Girls Rally Over Rockland
Lincoln Academy girls rallied from behind to beat Rockland Tuesday night in Rockland. The Eagles took a 14-13 lead at the quarter, before getting into foul trouble in the 2nd period. Lincoln was charged with 25 fouls and Rockland 26 in the sloppy game.
Panthers Nip Eagles In Overtime
Medomak Valley boys’ basketball team nipped Lincoln Academy 60-56 in overtime on Feb. 4 in the two teams’ KVAC season finale in Newcastle. With the win, the Panthers finish the season with a 14-4 record. Lincoln ends their season with an 11-7 record.

Three Lincoln Academy wrestlers, Derek Juchnik (2nd 140), Alex Benner (3rd 152) and Dalton Peaslee (4th 285) placed in the top four at the West Class B Regional Wrestling championships in Fryeburg on Saturday to qualify for the State Class B championships to be held at Medomak Valley in Waldoboro on Sat., Feb 13.

Wiscasset boys’ basketball team rallied in 2nd half action to defeat Lincoln County rivals Boothbay 68-56 on Jan. 6. Wiscasset out-rebounded Boothbay 44-32 and took care of the ball in 2nd half action to pull out the come-from-behind win.
