Second Annual Matthew Budrow Memorial Tournament Successful
Lincoln Academy hosted the second annual Matthew Budrow Memorial Basketball Tournament on Saturday with seven teams in attendance. The tournament was a fundraiser for the Matthew Budrow Scholarship Fund. The popular Eagle coach was killed in a tragic snowmobile accident in 2008.
Eagles Clip Oak Hill With Penalty Kicks, lose to Falmouth in West B semifinals
Fifth seed Lincoln Academy boys’ soccer team connected on eight of 10 penalty kicks to upset fourth seed Oak Hill 5-4 in the West B quarterfinal match-up in Sabattus on Oct. 29.
Leeman And Giglia Run First Marathon
Lincoln Academy track athletes Nikki Leeman, 18, and Jian Giglia, 17, traveled to Atlantic City, N.J., to compete in their first official marathon recently. The athletes paced themselves in the 26.2 miles race and finished together in four hours, six minutes.
Medomak Cross Country Teams Qualify For States Gould Named KVAC Coach Of The Year
For the third straight year, both the boys’ and girls’ cross country teams at Medomak Valley High School have qualified for the State Class B championship race. Medomak girls placed fifth and the boys sixth at the East B Regionals held in Belfast Oct. 31.
MVHS Basketball Ticket Prices
Admission to Medomak Valley High School basketball games will be $3 for adults, $2 for students, and free for children under 12. Season passes are $27 for an adult, and $72 for a family.
Leeman And Ward Qualify For State Class B Cross Country Meet
Lincoln Academy runners Mary Leeman and Gary Ward placed in the top 20 at the West Class B Regional Cross Country championships on Oct. 31 in Cumberland to qualify for the State Class B meet to be held on Sat., Nov. 7 at Twin Brook in Cumberland. Race times for Class B are 12:15 p.m. and 1 p.m.
Bristol Basketball Clinic Wraps Up
A six-week basketball clinic in Bristol wrapped up Nov. 3 with an intersquad scrimmage. A special highlight of the evening for the young players was donning Lincoln Academy jerseys.
Boothbay 3rd in West C. Regionals, WHS’s Pinkham Qualifies for States
Boothbay boys’ cross-country team placed third in the West Class C Regionals in Cumberland on Saturday to qualify for the State Class C meet. Orono won the Regional title and Bangor Christian was second.
Harlem Superstars Rock Wiscasset In WMS Project Reach Benefit
A near capacity crowd enjoyed the Harlem Superstars comedy basketball performance at Wiscasset High School Monday night. The event was sponsored by the Wiscasset Middle School for Project Reach, their annual community service project.

Matthew Budrow 2nd Annual Basketball Tournament Nov. 21
The 2nd annual Matthew Budrow Memorial Basketball Tournament will be held on Sat., Nov. 21 in the Bailey Gymnasium at Lincoln Academy. Budrow was a popular athlete and coach at Lincoln Academy. He was killed in a snowmobile accident in 2008.

The Harlem Superstars comedy basketball team will take on the dream team from Medomak Valley on Wed., Nov. 25 at 7 p.m. at Medomak Valley High School.
Coastal Christian Opens Season With A Win
The Coastal Christian School Rams basketball team opened their season on Nov. 6 with a 64-40 win over Hartland Christian Academy.
