Special Surfers Catch the Last Waves of Summer

On the third Tuesday of June, July, and August, a team of volunteers with Special Surfers – including a group from the CLC YMCA in Damariscotta – brings hundreds of children and adults with special needs to Gooch’s Beach in Kennebunk to surf.

‘Goal Setting and the Value of Partnerships’ Event is Aug. 15

On Thursday, Aug. 15 from 11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Central Lincoln County YMCA, at 525 Main St. in Damariscotta, Husson University and daVinci Consulting will host a presentation called “Goal Setting and the Value of Partnerships.” This presentation will provide individuals with insight into setting personal and professional goals as well as information about how businesses and organizations can benefit from community partnerships.
