Jill and Ted Hugger, owners of the Cod Cove Inn in Edgecomb, completed the purchase of the 37-room Cedar Crest Inn from Bill Hahn and Stephen Liberty on Feb. 27. The Cedar Crest Inn, located on Elm Street (U.S. Route 1), at the gateway to Camden, has served the traveling public since 1918.

The 17th annual Healthy Kids Chocolate Fest will be held Saturday, April 7 at The 1812 Farm in Bristol from 7-10 p.m.
St. Patrick’s Event at McGrory & Wolf
On Saturday, March 17 from 2-4 p.m., McGrory & Wolf Gallery in Waldoboro will hold a special celebration for St. Patrick’s Day. On display will be a handsome piece of calligraphy, 1980 vintage, that gallery owner and artist Polly McGrory designed as a gift for her aunt, Mary McGrory. Mary McGrory wrote a political commentary column for The Washington Post and won many awards, including a Pulitzer Prize, during her long career.

Lincoln County Yard Sale Scheduled for May 5

February is a month that always seems longer than its 28 days. It has not helped that this year we have had bright, sunny, and warm days that lull us into believing that spring is just around the corner, only to be awakened by another Sunday snowstorm. It is a good time to browse old cookbooks for recipes less familiar and sometimes overlooked or forgotten.
