Free Wild Seed-Bomb Workshop at Co-Op
People are invited to join Rising Tide Community Market Outreach Coordinator Anna DeGloria, a plant enthusiast and Wild Seed Project volunteer, to learn about native plants of Maine and how to prepare seed bombs for the garden or for a friend as an eco-friendly gift just in time for the holidays. DeGloria’s free workshop will take place from noon-2 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 3 at Rising Tide Community Market, 323 Main St., Damariscotta.
Pet Pantry Hours
The pet pantry is open from 9-11 a.m. on the first Tuesday of each month. The next time it will be open is on Tuesday, Dec.5. Its mission is to assist people who, due to their economic circumstances, may be having trouble buying food for their cat or dog.

Discover Girl Scouts Events in Lincoln County
Girl Scouts of Maine announces that it will host Discover Girl Scout events for potential members and volunteers at locations throughout the state every month. These events will bring together girls from kindergarten through third grade and their caregivers, and allow them to discover why Girl Scouting is important to the development of girls, how it relates to the success of young women today, and the important role that adults play.
Oxbow Bottle Release and Live Music on Black Friday
Oxbow Brewing Co., the farmhouse brewery located in Newcastle, will kick off the holiday season with a bottle release and special bottle pours on Black Friday, Nov. 24. There will also be free live music: local musician Paul Mellyn will perform from 6:30-9 p.m.
Local Post Offices Closed to Celebrate Thanksgiving
In celebration of Thanksgiving, post offices across the state of Maine will be closed on Thursday, Nov. 23 and there will be no mail delivery. Full delivery and window operations will resume on Friday, Nov. 24.

Charles E. Campbell, 74, of Trevett, died Nov. 17 at Glenridge Nursing Facility in Augusta. He was born on June 26, 1943 to Florence I. Brown. Charles grew up in Trevett, and spent some of his youth in Phillips.
