‘Deck The Homes’ Holiday Decorating Contest
A holiday decorating contest to benefit Caring For Kids, an organization dedicated to helping kids of Bristol and South Bristol, will be held by Bristol Parks & Recreation. The first annual contest, “Deck the Homes,” invites Bristol residents to decorate the exterior of their homes with lights, wreaths, scenery, and other decorative ornaments.
Fruit Trees Planted in Bristol Parks
The Bristol Parks and Recreation Department recently received a $2,000 grant through the Stephen and Tabitha King Foundation to plant fruit trees in Bristol parks. The purpose of the project is to offer free, healthy fruit to park visitors.
Traina Pastel Pieces on Exhibit in Miles’ Hall Gallery
Edgecomb artist Kimberly Skillin Traina will exhibit 30 pastel paintings in the Hall Gallery of LincolnHealth’s Miles Campus in Damariscotta from Saturday, Nov. 25 through Thursday, Jan. 4. Traina’s pastel paintings of nature, water, waves, reflection, marshes, islands, and clouds capture the different qualities of light inherent to the seasons in Maine.
