Town Of Jefferson Road Grading Bids

The Town of Jefferson is now accepting bids for road grading for the Egypt Road (2.6 miles). All sealed bids must be received at the Town Office by 5pm Thursday, September 7, 2023. Bids will be opened at 5:15pm Monday, September 11, 2023. The Select Board reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids. Specs are available at the Town Office, call 549-7401.

The Jefferson Town Office now has applications available for nominating the oldest resident to be presented with the Jefferson Cane. The nominee must be at least 90 years of age and be a resident of the Town of Jefferson. All nominations must be received in the Town Office by November 30, 2023.

The Alna Appeals Board hearing that was scheduled for August 29, 2023 at 6:00pm at the Alna Town Offi ce has been cancelled. The appellants, Alan and Tiffany Beaucage of 970 Alna Rd., Alna have withdrawn their appeal application.
Instead of the hearing, the Alna Appeals Board will hold an organizational meeting August 29, 2023 at 6:00 pm at the Alna
Town Office.

Bruce C. Miller Feb. 19, 1940 - Aug. 12, 2023

Bruce C. Miller, 83, died Aug. 12 at the Sussman House in Rockport. He was born Feb. 19, 1940 in Waldoboro to Chester Miller and Evelyn (Ralph) Miller. Bruce grew up in Waldoboro and graduated from Waldoboro High School in the class of 1959. Bruce married Elsie (Collamore) Miller in 1959.

Gen. Wallace Hall Nutting June 3, 1928 - Aug. 17, 2023

Gen. Wallace Hall Nutting, 95, moved from life to life Thursday, Aug. 17, 2023, at Seal Rock Healthcare in Saco, surrounded by family. He was born June 3, 1928, in Newton, Mass., the son of Gerry and Ethel Nutting.
