Boothbay Region High School girls cross-country standouts and sisters Faith and Glory Blethen were among six students and two chaperones from the Boothbay Region Congregational Church to go on a mission trip to Guatemala City from Oct. 4-11.

Top ranked Yarmouth boys soccer team eliminated Lincoln Academy from the South B semi-finals Saturday night with an 8-0 shutout win over the Eagles. Eric LaBrie netted four goals for the Clippers, Jason Lainey added two and Anders Corey and Ben Norton one each. Sam Laemmle had 12 saves in net for the Eagles.
Lincoln Academy Boys Win State Cross-Country Championship Boys and Girls Win Sportsmanship Awards
The Lincoln Academy boys cross-country team won the state Class B championship on Saturday, Oct. 28 at Twin Brook Recreation in Cumberland. The Eagles packed five scoring runners into the top 21 to win by a landslide. Lincoln scored 56 points, while nearest competitors Freeport and Yarmouth scored 115 each.

Boothbay boys cross country team placed second in the South Class C Regional championships at Twin Brook Recreation in Cumberland on Oct. 21. Kyle Ames placed fifth and Blake Erhard sixth to lead the Seahawks. Boothbay boys qualified for States, as did Lady Seahawks Glory Blethen, Faith Blethen and Haley Abbott.

Lincoln Academy girls soccer team wrapped up their KVAC season at home Tuesday night with a 6-2 win over Belfast. Emily Harris netted three goals for the Eagles, and Paige Camp, Chelsea Williams and Anna Hatch one each. Olivia Lovejoy and June Robertson scored for Belfast.
