County Courthouse to Shuffle Offices
Visitors to the Lincoln County Courthouse after the first of April will see some changes in the location of the offices. According to County Administrator Carrie Kipfer, the changes in office locations are an effort to make the best use of space, giving more space to offices that need it and less to others that no longer need as much space as they have.

Blizzard Leaves Plenty of Late-Season Snow
A late season storm system chugged through Lincoln County on Tuesday, pummeling the area with six hours of blizzard conditions, but leaving little lasting damage behind, according to early reports.
First Power Outages Reported in Lincoln County
Reports of power outages from Lincoln County are coming in to Central Maine Power Co., according to the 7:07 p.m. update from CMP. A total of 334 Lincoln County households were without power at the time of that report. A majority of the outages, 229, were reported in South Bristol, with smaller numbers of outages in Damariscotta, Nobleboro and Boothbay Harbor.
NWS: Highest Winds, Heaviest Snow Through 9 p.m.
The National Weather Service has issued a special weather statement warning that the highest winds and heaviest snowfall from the passing storm should impact Lincoln County through approximately 9 p.m. Tuesday. Residents are advised to expect snowfall rates up to 4 inches and hour and wind gusts to 60 mph during that period, according to the NWS.
Blizzard Warning Issued for Lincoln County
At 2:43 p.m. on Tuesday the National Weather Service issued a blizzard warning for Lincoln County in advance of heavy snowfall bands tracking into the area. The same weather system, tracking in from the south, is also bringing higher temps along with the intense precipitation, making for a dangerous combination of high winds and wet snowfall during the night time hours of Tuesday.
Storm Warning in Effect; May Now End With Rainfall
Snowfall quickly developed over Lincoln County Tuesday morning as the leading edge of a winter storm slid into the area. A winter storm warning issued by the National Weather Service remained in effect, however final adjustments to the forecast indicate that the snowfall may have a shorter duration than expected and the event may end with rainfall.
CMP on ‘Heightened Alert’ for Tuesday Storm
Staff at Central Maine Power Co. have been monitoring weather forecasts and are prepared for a major winter storm that could bring heavy snow and strong winds to Maine Tuesday afternoon and Wednesday, according to a CMP bulletin.
South Bristol Elects Officers, Postpones Town Meeting
The South Bristol annual town meeting has been postponed until Thursday, March 16. The meeting was originally scheduled for Tuesday, March 14, but was moved due to the weather forecast.
