Karl’s Kids Annual Fundraiser Oct. 15
The Damariscotta-Newcastle Rotary Club’s fifth annual Karl’s Kids community fundraiser will be held Sunday, Oct. 15 from noon to 7 p.m. at Duck Puddle Campground in Nobleboro, rain or shine.
Boothbay Region Historical Society Annual Cheese Sale Oct. 7
The popular Boothbay Region Historical Society’s annual cheese sale returns in two locations on Saturday, Oct. 7.
Morris Farm Offering After-School Program
Students in kindergarten through fifth grade can join the fun at Morris Farm in its new after-school program.
Contra Dance Block Party at Wiscasset Art Walk Sept. 28
It gets dark early in late September, and the community is invited to hold back the night at a contra dance during Wiscasset Art Walk on Thursday, Sept. 28. Wiscasset Art Walk runs from 5-8 p.m. and the dance party begins around 6:30 p.m. under the tent on Water Street.
Community Celebration at Twisted Iron Sept. 29 Through Oct. 1
Twisted Grill in Edgecomb will be having its grand opening Friday through Sunday, Sept. 29, 30, and Oct. 1. This three-day event will be celebrating not only Twisted Grill’s long-awaited opening, but its surrounding businesses Twisted Iron Customs, Twisted Tattoo, Simple Creations, and its much-appreciated community.
Midcoast Conservancy Full Moon Paddle Sept. 28
Midcoast Conservancy will host a full moon paddle at the Hidden Valley Nature Center in Jefferson from 6:30-8:30 p.m. on Thursday, Sept 28. Participants can enjoy the silvery glow of the harvest moon from canoes provided by the nature center as they glide along Little Dyer Pond after a beautiful mile-and-a-half hike into the woods.
Face-Painting, Pies, Crafts, and Friends Await at AppleFest
AppleFest is Saturday, Sept. 30, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Nobleboro Historical Center and the Nobleboro Central School gym.

Community Yard Sale Sept. 23
The first Waldoboro community yard sale over the summer was so successful, residents asked to do it again. On Saturday, Sept. 23, Waldoboro will welcome fall with yard sales all over town from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., some including extended hours.
Frances Perkins Homestead Open House, Ice Cream Social Sept. 17 CANCELLED
CANCELLED: The Frances Perkins Homestead and trails tours will be open free to the community from noon to 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 17 with live music from the Rusty Hinges, ice cream, and fun activities for the whole family.
Diabetes Resource Discussion at LincolnHealth Support Group Sept. 12

Teens and Technology Event Sept. 24
It’s no secret adolescence is a time when youth turn inward, and Hearty Roots is on a mission to turn young adults toward the outdoors, away from screens and into meaningful adventures where real connections are made with real people amid Maine’s wild spaces. They can’t do it alone, especially as today’s teens navigate screen addiction and social media use.
