There is still time for volunteers who would like to participate in the Bremen Cleanup on Saturday, April 23. The Patriotic Club will have coffee and snacks available for those who come by the Bremen Fire Department to get their trash bags. At about noon, volunteers will pick up the trash bags, along with any other large items left at the roadside. Anyone wishing to volunteer should call Juanita at 529-2355.

Ham-and-Bean Supper in Alna
The Alna Volunteer Fire Department will be having a ham-and-bean supper from 4:30-6 p.m., Saturday, April 9 at the fire station, 1579 Alna Road, Alna. The cost is $8 for ages 13 and up, $5 for ages 5-12, and free for ages 4 and under. The dinner will feature ham, baked beans, salads, rolls, pies, coffee, milk, and lemonade. There will also be a 50/50 raffle.

In April, for our Friday free offerings at 2 p.m., we will commemorate the 400th anniversary of the death of William Shakespeare with four classic productions in partnership with BBC Worldwide North America. We will start off the four-part series April 1 with “As You Like It,” starring Vanessa Redgrave.
Easter Bunny in Waldoboro
The Easter Bunny will arrive at the Waldoboro Fire Department on Route 1 at 10 a.m., Saturday, March 26. The Easter Bunny will hide colored eggs full of candy for children to find.
