Elizabeth “Jean” Hodgkins, 89, passed away May 22 at a Bangor hospital. She was born July 12, 1925, in Schenectady, N.Y., the daughter of Philip and Mabel O’Brien.

Elizabeth Joy Kennedy Massanek, 58, passed from this earth June 20 while at home in the presence of her loving husband Gary Massanek and sons Alexander and Geoffrey Massanek. Betsy succumbed to the rapid onset of cancer.

Shirley Bracey Dyer, 96, a longtime resident of Maine, passed away on June 1 in Las Vegas, Nev.

Alfred E. Lewis, 86, passed away on June 7 after a period of failing health.

Mary Alice Baker Wilson, 70, born in Jefferson March 19, 1945, left this world to be with Jesus on May 17 after a long, courageous battle with cancer.

John Lannan, 87, of Damariscotta, succumbed to Parkinson Dementia with Lewy Bodies June 25 after a long career as a newsman, editor and publisher in Maine, Colorado, Boston, New York, and Washington, DC.

Don Hewett, 92, of Whitefield, who passed away on Feb. 28, will be honored at a spring service at 2 p.m., Fri., June 26 at the West Washington Cemetery, Rt. 206, Washington.

Emelia “Emily” Barniak McGregor, 91, passed away in Damariscotta on the morning of June 4.

A graveside service for Christopher A. Bailey, 42, of Woolwich, who passed away Dec. 21, 2014, will be held at 10:30 a.m., Sat., June 13.

Harold E. Wilson, 63, of Port Clyde, longtime, respected Medomak Valley High School principal, passed away June 22 at his home following a brief but gallant battle with cancer.
